Oceanside Alpine Blue (style OGTS2382F) is System 96 tested-compatible 96 COE fusible stringers, thin glass threads of soft opalescent alpine blue.
Appearance
A pale, soft powder blue. Opalescent, so the threads read as an opaque light blue line, cool with a chalky, frosted feel.
Working notes
As an opal it reads as a solid line over any base. A full fuse melts the threads flush, a tack fuse leaves them raised for fine texture.
Reactions
This color is not on the System 96 reactive list, so it sits next to other colors without forming a reaction line. See the System 96 Reactive Color Chart for the colors that do react.
Using the stringers
Stringers are thin glass threads for lines, outlines, and fine detail. Snap them to length, lay them by hand, and fuse them in for delicate pattern.
Fusing and compatibility
Tested compatible with any 96 COE glass in the System 96 family. With glass from other makers, matching COE alone does not guarantee compatibility, so fire a small test tile first.
