Oceanside Mardi Gras Stringers (style OGTSMGF) is System 96 tested-compatible 96 COE fusible stringers, a mixed assortment of thin glass threads in many colors.
Appearance
A wide range of colors in one tube: reds, greens, blues, yellows, browns, black, and white. Some strands are transparent, some opaque, so the mix reads as a bright confetti of color.
Working notes
Being an assortment, the colors and their balance vary from tube to tube; some lines pass light while others stay solid. A full fuse melts the threads flat into the surface as fine colored lines, while a tack fuse leaves them raised on top.
Reactions
This color is not on the System 96 reactive list, so it sits next to other colors without forming a reaction line. See the System 96 Reactive Color Chart for the colors that do react.
Using the stringers
Stringers are thin round threads of glass, made for drawing lines, outlines, and fine linework across a base. Lay them where you want detail and snap them to length with your fingers or a nipper.
Fusing and compatibility
Tested compatible with other System 96 glass, so it fuses cleanly with any 96 COE product in the System 96 family. When you combine it with glass from other makers, matching COE alone does not guarantee compatibility, so fire a small test tile first.
