Deep raspberry rose, opaque and saturated, with a soft satin gloss and just a whisper of variation between balls. It is a mature pink, well past pastel, with a hint of purple in it.
Frit balls are spheres of fused glass frit sized about 3 to 6 mm, around 100 to 130 to the half ounce bag. This is COE90 Bullseye glass; keep the rest of the piece tested COE90 too. Over white the rose reads bold, over black it turns toward magenta, and single balls make convincing rosebuds and berry clusters.
Is Pink Opalescent a striker? Yes. Bullseye lists 000301 as a striker that typically deepens in coloration on firing, with the light dappling of cold sheet disappearing, and publishes no hold temperature. Because these balls have already been fused once they show the deepened rose; expect it to hold or deepen slightly further, and use balls from one bag on a piece so the deepening runs even. The glass is lead bearing and may react with sulfur colors such as French Vanilla and the cadmium reds and yellows.
