Red Bellflower Murrini/ Millefiore COE96

Each slice shows a bellflower bloom in deep red and crimson, its pointed petals radiating from a small center against a medium blue ground. Most slices carry a squared outline rather than a round one, giving the bag a tiled, mosaic ready character. The saturated red on blue holds strong contrast at every size in the mix.

Murrini, also called millefiori, are small cross-section slices of patterned glass cane. Rated COE96, they are placed on the surface of a fused glass project and fired in, adding color and motif to jewelry, plates, suncatchers, dishes, and ornaments.

Working Notes

A full fuse melts the slices flat and flush with the surrounding glass for a smooth, integrated surface. A tack fuse stops at a lower peak, leaving the slices slightly raised with more defined edges and a subtle dimensional profile.
