A true poster red, opaque and glossy, with a slight range across the bag: most balls are a clean bright red, a few lean toward orange red, and one or two larger ones show a lighter dappled cap. That spread is exactly what Bullseye describes for this glass cold.
These rounded beads of fused glass frit run about 3 to 6 mm, roughly 100 to 130 to the half ounce bag. It is Bullseye glass, COE90, and pairs with tested COE90 glass alone. Red dots do the loud work: ladybugs, poppies, cherries and holiday accents, brightest over white and deepening over black.
Will Red Opalescent balls all fire the same red? Bullseye is candid about 000124: much color variation is typical on firing, and sheets that match cold may not fire identically. It is listed as a striker with no published hold, and Bullseye recommends testing first when an exact red matters. These balls have been fused once, which narrows the range, but plan a test tile with balls from the same bag. The cadmium selenium glass may also react with copper, lead and silver bearing colors, and is not for kilncasting.
