Red Transparent dots do not look red in the bag. Out of the bag they are pale straw and amber yellow with some deeper gold slices. It is a striking color: the red develops in the kiln, not on the shelf.
Made from Bullseye glass, COE90, about 2 to 3 mm thick from 6 mm cane; use these with COE90 glass only. The red arrives in the kiln, so plan the piece around the fired color, not the bag. Over white or clear a tack fused dot becomes a ruby or a berry with depth; over black it settles toward a deep wine.
Why are they yellow, and will they really turn red? This is a striking transparent. Unfired it reads pale yellow to amber; fired to fusing temperature it strikes to a clear red, and the shade depends on your schedule and how long it is held at heat. Over white or clear the struck red glows like a ruby; over black it darkens toward a deep wine. Tack fused on a light base it makes a convincing red gemstone or berry with depth.

Striking colors reward a test. Fire a few dots on scrap of your usual base with your standard schedule and note how deep the red comes in; a longer hold at process temperature generally strikes it further.
