The Round Foot mold from Creative Paradise lets you cast a rounded glass foot in the kiln for adding a finished base to vessels, bowls, or other fused creations. The mold measures 4 inches in diameter and 2 inches in height, with a 2.75 inch diameter x 1 inch cavity that casts a solid, stable foot from about 95 grams of glass.
Fill the mold cavity with about 95 grams of compatible glass and fire to a full fuse; the glass melts into the cavity and casts the rounded foot shape. Like all ceramic mold forms, it is COE agnostic and reusable across many firings when primed and cared for properly.
What does the Round Foot mold make? It casts one round glass foot from the 2.75 inch diameter x 1 inch cavity, for attaching as a base to a bowl, vessel, or other fused glass piece.
How does the casting process work? The cavity is filled with about 95 grams of compatible glass. As the kiln reaches full fuse temperature, the glass melts and conforms to the cavity, casting the rounded foot shape. The piece is then annealed and cooled before removal.
What COE glass can I use? Any COE. Ceramic mold forms are COE agnostic, so the same mold works with COE96, COE90, or other compatible fusible glass. Match your firing schedule to the glass you are using.
How do I prep the mold before casting? Coat the form with a kiln shelf primer such as a boron nitride spray (for example ZYP) or a kiln wash such as Hotline Primo Primer , and let it dry completely before filling the cavity so the cast foot releases cleanly after firing.

Working Notes
These are guidelines, not guarantees. Every kiln fires a little differently, so test a small run first when the result matters and follow a casting schedule suited to your glass and kiln.
Prime the form with a boron nitride mold primer such as ZYP Boron Nitride Mold Primer , or a kiln wash, and let it dry completely before filling the cavity with glass so the casting does not stick.
Fill the cavity with about 95 grams of compatible glass. Casting the foot uses a full fuse, so fire hot enough for the glass to flow fully into the cavity and match the anneal soak to your glass. Creative Paradise also publishes a separate slump schedule for slumping another mold onto a cast foot.
The mold is COE agnostic. Match the firing schedule to the glass you are using, adjusting the final anneal soak for your COE.
Let the kiln cool fully before removing the cast foot. Re coat the mold with primer as needed between firings.
The Slide Hi Temp brand separator is not recommended with these molds.
