The Season's Greetings Bottle Slumping Mold from Creative Paradise is a ceramic form designed to flatten a standard glass bottle into a holiday-themed shape in a single kiln firing. The mold measures 13 inches long by 5.5 inches wide by 2 inches tall, giving the slumped bottle a defined footprint suited to seasonal display pieces and gifts made from repurposed wine or beer bottles.
To use the mold, a bottle is laid flat on the prepared mold surface and fired on a slump schedule. As the kiln heats, the glass softens and gravity pulls it flat into the form. Like all ceramic slumping molds, this one is COE agnostic and reusable across many firings with proper prep and care.
What does the Season's Greetings Bottle Slumping Mold make? It slumps a standard glass bottle flat into a holiday-themed shape in one firing. The result is a decorative seasonal piece with a defined 13 inch by 5.5 inch footprint.
What kind of bottle do I use with this mold? A standard glass bottle such as a wine or beer bottle works well. The mold is sized to accept a typical bottle laid flat on its surface.
Does this mold work with any COE glass? Yes. Ceramic slumping molds are COE agnostic. Standard glass bottles, COE96 fusible glass, and COE90 fusible glass all work. Adjust the anneal soak temperature to match your glass: 950 F for standard bottles or COE96, 900 F for COE90.
How do I prep the mold before slumping? Coat the mold surface with a kiln shelf primer such as a boron nitride spray or kiln wash, and let it dry completely before placing the bottle. Re-coat between firings as needed.

Working Notes
These are guidelines, not guarantees. Every kiln fires a little differently, so test a small run first when the result matters and follow a slumping schedule suited to your glass and kiln.
Prime the mold surface with a boron nitride mold primer such as ZYP Boron Nitride Mold Primer , or a kiln wash such as Hotline Primo Primer , and let it dry completely before placing the bottle so the glass does not stick.
Lay the glass bottle flat on the prepared mold surface. As the kiln heats, the bottle softens and gravity pulls it into the mold form.
The mold is COE agnostic. For the anneal soak, hold at 950 F for a standard glass bottle or COE96 glass. If using COE90, adjust the anneal to 900 F.
Let the kiln cool fully before removing the slumped piece. Re-coat the mold with primer as needed between firings.
The Slide Hi Temp brand separator is not recommended with these molds.
Creative Paradise Suggested Firing Schedule
This is a suggested COE96 starting schedule, not a guarantee. Every kiln fires differently. Test a small run and adjust the schedule for your glass and kiln.
Slump:
Segment Rate Temp (F) Hold 1 300 1230 45 2 300 1350 15 3 9999 1470 05 4 9999 950* 60
*Segment 4 is the anneal soak at 950 F for a standard glass bottle or COE96 glass. If using COE90, adjust this temperature to 900 F.
