This sheet carries an assortment of antique-style flatware pieces, each rendered in a warm metallic finish. How do I apply a decal from this sheet?
Cut out the individual piece you want to use. Soak it in clean water for roughly 20 to 30 seconds, until it slides freely from the backing paper. Position it on clean, grease-free pre-fired glass, then use a soft squeegee or your fingertip to smooth out trapped water and air. Allow the piece to dry completely before loading it into the kiln.

Can I save unused decals for a later project?
Yes. Cut out only the pieces you need and store the remaining sheet flat in a cool, dry location away from humidity.

Do metallic decals need a higher firing temperature than standard ones?
No. These metallic decals are single-color prints that fire to 1240 to 1370 degrees, held toward the lower end of that range to keep the metallic dense. Select your peak temperature within that range based on the finish you want and the firing characteristics of your kiln.

Working Notes

Apply decals only to clean, dry, grease-free pre-fired glass. Fingerprints or surface residue will prevent proper adhesion. After smoothing each decal into position, allow the piece to dry fully before kiln loading. A complete overnight dry is recommended. Rushing this step risks trapping moisture, which can cause the decal film to lift or bubble during firing.

Suggested Firing Schedule (the manufacturer's recommendation, a starting point only): Firing range is roughly 1240 to 1370 degrees F; these designs fire toward the lower end to preserve density. This is a suggested starting point, not a guarantee of results. Every kiln fires differently, so test a small piece first and anneal for the thickness of your glass. Ventilate the kiln well up to 1000 degrees and fire slowly below 500 degrees.
50 DPH to 185 degrees F, HOLD/SOAK 20 min.
