The Small Green Man Textured Fusing Tile from Creative Paradise is a ceramic texture tile that impresses a decorative Green Man relief pattern into the surface of glass during the fusing process. Place the prepared tile on your kiln shelf, lay your glass on top, and fire so the softened glass settles against the tile and picks up the texture from below.
The tile measures 7 inches by 7 inches, with a diagonal of 10 inches. Like all ceramic texture tiles, it is COE agnostic and works with any COE glass. Frit may also be fused directly on the tile surface to create a patterned result. The tile is reusable across many firings when prepped and cared for properly.
What does the Small Green Man Textured Fusing Tile do?
It impresses a Green Man relief pattern into the surface of glass during fusing. Place sheet glass on the prepared tile and fire so the softening glass conforms to the tile surface and picks up the texture.
Can I fuse frit directly on this tile?
Yes. Frit can be applied and fused directly on the tile surface as an alternative to laying sheet glass on top. Both approaches transfer the Green Man texture to the finished piece.
What COE glass works with this tile?
Any COE. Ceramic texture tiles are COE agnostic, so the same tile works with COE96, COE90, or other fusible glass. Use a firing schedule matched to the glass you are using.
How do I prep the tile before firing?
Coat the tile surface with a kiln wash or boron nitride primer and let it dry completely before placing glass on top, so the glass releases cleanly after firing.

Working Notes
These are guidelines, not guarantees. Every kiln fires a little differently, so test a small run first when the result matters and follow a firing schedule suited to your glass and kiln.
- Prime the tile surface with a boron nitride mold primer such as ZYP Boron Nitride Mold Primer, or a kiln wash such as Hotline Primo Primer, following the manufacturer instructions for applying and curing, and let it dry completely before placing glass on top.
- For texturing during fusing, lay sheet glass directly on the prepared tile surface and fire using the texturing and fusing schedule below.
- For texturing a pre-fused piece, place the finished fused blank on the tile and use the lower-temperature texturing schedule below.
- Frit may also be applied directly to the prepared tile surface and fused to create a patterned, textured piece.
- The tile is COE agnostic. Use a schedule matched to your glass, adjusting the final anneal soak for your COE.
- Let the kiln cool fully before removing the glass. Re-coat the tile with primer or kiln wash as needed between firings.
Creative Paradise Suggested Firing Schedule
This is a suggested COE96 starting schedule, not a guarantee. Every kiln fires differently. Test a small run and adjust the schedule for your glass and kiln.
