Bullseye Black Ribbon (style 000100) is 90 COE fusible ribbon, flat ribbons of glass for bold linear accents and woven or layered surface designs.
Cold characteristics Bullseye writes these notes for the sheet form of this color; the same glass is used to make this product.
Although termed an opal due to its almost total lack of light transmission, this is (in terms of its composition) actually a transparent glass.
Working notes Low viscosity. Will flow sooner and more than other glasses. In very thin sections the color may vary from reddish/gray to bluish/gray.
Reactions This color is not reactive. It can sit next to any color without forming a reaction line, so it works well as a dependable base or background. See the Reactive Potential of Bullseye Glass chart to find the colors that do react.
Using the ribbon Ribbon is a flat, wide strip of glass, heavier than a stringer, for bolder lines and woven or basket-style layouts. It fuses smoothly into the surface and holds a clean edge.
Fusing and compatibility Tested compatible with other Bullseye glass. When you combine it with glass from other makers, matching COE alone does not guarantee compatibility, so fire a small test tile first.
More of This Color The same Bullseye color in other forms: 3mm Sheet · 2mm Thin Sheet · 3mm Iridescent Sheet · 2mm Iridescent Sheet · Frit · Stringers .
