COE90 Glass Ovals and Teardrops

Precut ovals take the cutting out of one of the trickiest shapes in glass work. Cutting a clean, symmetrical oval by hand takes practice and wastes glass, and these ready-cut COE90 blanks give you an identical curve every time.

Choosing and using precut ovals

Ovals are a natural pendant and cabochon shape. Stack a decorated layer such as dichroic scrap, frit, or stringer between a base oval and a clear cap, fire, and the rounded outline softens further into a smooth domed form. Black bases give the strongest contrast, white keeps colors bright, and clear works for suncatchers and pieces meant to pass light.

Compatibility

These ovals are COE90 and belong in COE90 projects only. They are cut from Bullseye-compatible 90 COE glass, so they pair with your COE90 sheet glass, frit, and dichroic. When you combine glass from different makers, test compatibility first.
