Oceanside Blue Topaz (style OGT5332SF) is System 96 tested-compatible 96 COE fusible sheet glass, a bright turquoise transparent in a smooth 3mm sheet.
Appearance
This is a clear, saturated turquoise blue with a smooth glossy face. Held to light it passes a bright aqua tone, clean and even across the sheet with no streaking. The color sits between blue and green, leaning toward a tropical sea blue.
Working notes
As a transparent, Blue Topaz glows when light passes through it and reads deeper over a dark base; over white it stays bright and clear. A full fuse keeps the glossy surface; a tack fuse holds crisp edges.
Reactions
This is a copper-bearing color, rated high on the System 96 reactive scale. Fused against a sulfur-bearing glass it can develop a reaction line or a shift in color where the two meet, an effect fusers use on purpose for shading and depth. Fusing and compatibility
Tested compatible with other System 96 glass, so it fuses cleanly with any 96 COE product in the System 96 family. When you combine it with glass from other makers, matching COE alone does not guarantee compatibility, so fire a small test tile first.
