Oceanside Celadon (style OGT22872SF) is System 96 tested-compatible 96 COE fusible sheet glass, a soft sage celadon opalescent on a smooth surface.
Appearance
A muted, dusty sage green with a gray-green cast, the quiet celadon tone of glazed pottery. As an opalescent it is soft and solid rather than clear, with only slight shading where the light shifts across it.
Working notes
Both faces are smooth, so either side can go up. A full fuse takes the surface to a soft gloss; a tack fuse holds crisp edges. It reads as a calm, muted field for a background or a neutral green paired with brighter colors.
Reactions
This is a copper-bearing color, rated low on the System 96 reactive scale. Fused against a sulfur-bearing glass it can develop a reaction line or a shift in color where the two meet, an effect fusers use on purpose for shading and depth. Next to non-reactive colors it stays true. See the System 96 Reactive Color Chart for the colors it reacts with.
Format and sizes
Sold as 3mm smooth sheet glass. Choose your size from the options on this page.
Fusing and compatibility
Fuses cleanly with any other 96 COE glass in the System 96 family. With glass from other makers, matching COE alone does not guarantee compatibility, so fire a small test tile first.
