Oceanside Steel Blue (style OGT5384SF) is System 96 tested-compatible 96 COE fusible sheet glass, a deep transparent blue in a smooth 3mm sheet.
Appearance
A rich, saturated royal-to-steel blue with a smooth glossy face. Held to light it passes deep and clean with only slight shading, a strong cool blue with no green cast.
Working notes
As a transparent it glows with light behind it and deepens over a dark base, while over white it stays bright and true. A full fuse keeps the glossy surface.
Reactions
This is a copper-bearing color, rated medium on the System 96 reactive scale. Fused against a sulfur-bearing glass it can develop a reaction line or a shift in color where the two meet, an effect fusers use on purpose for shading and depth. Fusing and compatibility
Fuses cleanly with any 96 COE glass in the System 96 family. With glass from other makers, matching COE alone does not guarantee compatibility, so fire a small test tile first.
