Oceanside Cherry Red Semi-Opalescent Stringers (style OGTS151F) is System 96 tested-compatible 96 COE fusible stringers, deep cherry red threads for lines and detail.
Appearance
A deep cherry red, semi-opalescent so the threads read dense but keep a warm glow, drawn into fine even lines.
Working notes
The deep semi-opal red stays strong over both light and dark bases, giving bold color lines rather than a see-through red.
Reactions
This is a sulfur-bearing color, rated low on the System 96 reactive scale. Fused against a copper-bearing glass it can develop a reaction line or a shift in color where the two meet, an effect fusers use on purpose for shading and depth. Using the stringers
Stringers are thin glass threads for drawing lines and fine detail. Snip them to length and lay them for outlines, borders, or linear patterns. They fuse flat at a full fuse or stay raised at a tack fuse.
Fusing and compatibility
Fuses cleanly with any 96 COE product in the System 96 family. With glass from other makers, matching COE alone does not guarantee compatibility, so fire a small test tile first.
