Oceanside Ruby Red Transparent (style OGT152SF) is System 96 tested-compatible 96 COE fusible sheet glass, a deep transparent red with a smooth surface.
Appearance
A rich transparent ruby red, deep and saturated with a slight crimson lean. Held to the light it glows a clear jewel red; against a dark background it reads as a deeper wine tone. The smooth face is flat and glossy, so the color stays clean and even across the sheet.
Working notes
Both faces are smooth, so orientation is up to you. As a transparent it is brightest over a light table or with light behind it, and it deepens when layered over clear. A full fuse keeps the red glossy and clear, while a tack fuse holds stacked pieces defined.
Reactions
This is a sulfur-bearing color, rated low on the System 96 reactive scale. Fused against a copper-bearing glass it can develop a reaction line or a shift in color where the two meet, an effect fusers use on purpose for shading and depth. Fusing and compatibility
Fuses cleanly with any other System 96 glass at 96 COE. With glass from other makers, matching COE alone does not guarantee compatibility, so fire a small test tile first.
