Oceanside Cherry Red (style OGT151SF) is System 96 tested-compatible 96 COE fusible sheet glass, a deep transparent red in a smooth sheet.
Appearance
The photo shows a rich cherry red, fully transparent with a bright glossy surface. The color is deep and even, leaning slightly toward blue-red rather than orange, and it glows where light passes through. There is no streaking or texture, just a clean red glass face.
Working notes
As a transparent red it reads darkest when layered and brightest as a single layer over light. Over white opal it holds as a solid red. It is a sulfur-bearing color, so it can react where it meets copper-bearing glass, as noted below. A full fuse gives a glossy face.
Reactions
This is a sulfur-bearing color, rated low on the System 96 reactive scale. Fused against a copper-bearing glass it can develop a reaction line or a shift in color where the two meet, an effect fusers use on purpose for shading and depth. Fusing and compatibility
Tested compatible with other System 96 glass, so it fuses cleanly with any 96 COE product in the System 96 family. When you combine it with glass from other makers, matching COE alone does not guarantee compatibility, so fire a small test tile first.
