Oceanside Flame Opal (style OGT60602F) is System 96 tested-compatible 96 COE fusible sheet glass, a bright orange-red opalescent sheet.
Appearance
A vivid orange-red, even and solid across the sheet with a smooth face. As an opalescent it holds a dense, glowing color that blocks light rather than passing it.
Working notes
It works as a solid base or a bold layer over clear. The smooth face fuses flat and glossy at a full fuse, while a tack fuse holds raised detail.
Reactions
This is a sulfur-bearing color, rated medium on the System 96 reactive scale. Fused against a copper-bearing glass it can develop a reaction line or a shift in color where the two meet, an effect fusers use on purpose for shading and depth. Fusing and compatibility
Fuses cleanly with any 96 COE glass in the System 96 family. With other makers, matching COE alone does not guarantee a fit, so fire a test tile first.
