Oceanside Grape Transparent frit (style 5432-96) is System 96 tested-compatible 96 COE fusible crushed glass, a deep purple for shading, blending, and casting.
Appearance
A deep grape purple, transparent so the granules sparkle with clear violet lights and darker plum shadows. Loose in the jar it reads a rich dark purple with glassy highlights; spread thin it opens into a lighter transparent violet.
Working notes
Reads brightest over a light base and deepens toward near-black over dark backing. A full fuse melts it into a clear transparent purple layer.

Using the frit
Frit is graded from fine to coarse. Finer grades shade and blend color across a piece, coarser grades add texture for casting and filling. Sift it over a base, pack it into a mold, or mix grades to build depth.
Fusing and compatibility
Tested compatible with other System 96 glass, so it fuses cleanly with any 96 COE product in the System 96 family. With glass from other makers, matching COE alone does not guarantee compatibility, so fire a small test tile first.
