Oceanside Apple Jade Opalescent (style OGTN726F) is System 96 tested-compatible 96 COE fusible noodles, thin jade-green glass ribbons for lines and detail.
Appearance
These noodles are a soft jade green, a cool opalescent green with a creamy, milky quality where the strands overlap. Each noodle is a flat, thin ribbon of glass. The color is solid and even, an opal green rather than a see-through tint.
Working notes
As an opalescent green the noodles read as solid color lines, holding their shape and shade over both light and dark bases. Lay them flat as stripes or fine linework on a base sheet. A tack fuse keeps them raised and defined, while a full fuse melts them flush into the surface and softens the edges.
Reactions
This is a copper-bearing color, rated medium on the System 96 reactive scale. Fused against a sulfur-bearing glass it can develop a reaction line or a shift in color where the two meet, an effect fusers use on purpose for shading and depth. Using the noodles
Noodles are flat, thin ribbon strands of glass, handy for stripes, borders and fine detail work. Place them on a base to draw crisp lines, or bundle and fuse them for a striped field. Snap them to length by hand or score them for cleaner ends. They are System 96 96 COE, compatible with the rest of the System 96 family.
Fusing and compatibility
Tested compatible with other System 96 glass, so it fuses cleanly with any 96 COE product in the System 96 family. When you combine it with glass from other makers, matching COE alone does not guarantee compatibility, so fire a small test tile first.
