Oceanside Apple Jade Opalescent Stringers (style OGTS726F) is System 96 tested-compatible 96 COE fusible stringers, fine threads of soft jade green.
Appearance
The photo shows round stringer threads in a fresh apple jade green. The color is opalescent, giving each thread a solid, milky jade body with a soft glow, thin, even, and glossy.
Working notes
As an opalescent it holds a solid, consistent line over both light and dark bases for stems, outlines, and detail.
Reactions
This is a copper-bearing color, rated medium on the System 96 reactive scale. Fused against a sulfur-bearing glass it can develop a reaction line or a shift in color where the two meet, an effect fusers use on purpose for shading and depth. Using the stringers
Stringers are thin threads of glass for drawing lines and fine detail on a base sheet. Snap them to length, lay them in place, and fuse so the lines settle into the surface.
Fusing and compatibility
Fuses cleanly with any other 96 COE glass in the System 96 family. With glass from other makers, matching COE alone does not guarantee compatibility, so fire a small test tile first.
