Appearance
Bundled flat ribbon strands of charcoal gray glass. The color is opalescent and solid, a deep even gray with a glossy surface and a slightly ridged profile.
Working notes
This solid charcoal opal reads as a strong neutral gray, holding an even opaque tone over any base for outlines and detail.

Using the noodles
Noodles are thin flat ribbon strands used for stripes, borders, and fine detail across a fused piece. Lay them flush for clean lines, cut them to length, or overlap them for a woven look. They melt smooth into a base at a full fuse or hold a raised edge at a tack fuse.
Fusing and compatibility
Fuses cleanly with any other 96 COE glass in the System 96 family. With glass from other makers, matching COE alone does not guarantee compatibility, so fire a small test tile first.
