Oceanside Crystal Opalescent (style OGTN209F) is System 96 tested-compatible 96 COE fusible noodles, thin flat ribbons of soft translucent crystal glass.
Appearance
Nearly colorless with a faint milky crystal cast. The ribbons read as a soft translucent near-white with a slight opal glow and pick up a gentle pearly shimmer in the light.
Working notes
As a translucent crystal opal it softens light rather than blocking it, reading pale over any base.
Reactions
This color is not on the System 96 reactive list, so it sits next to other colors without forming a reaction line. See the System 96 Reactive Color Chart for the colors that do react.
Using the noodles
Noodles are thin flat ribbon strands of glass. Lay them on a base to draw stripes, borders, and linear detail, or bundle and fuse them into pattern bars. A full fuse melts them flush into the surface while a tack fuse leaves them raised.
Fusing and compatibility
Fuses cleanly with any other 96 COE glass in the System 96 family. With glass from other makers, matching COE alone does not guarantee compatibility, so fire a small test tile first.
