Oceanside Forest Green Opalescent (style OGTN6227F) is System 96 tested-compatible 96 COE fusible noodles, thin deep-green glass ribbons for lines and detail.
Appearance
A deep forest green, rich and cool, drawn into flat thin bands. Thin, the green reads dark and saturated with light through the edges; bundled together it deepens toward bottle green.
Working notes
Over a lit surface the edges glow; over a dark base they read solid. A tack fuse keeps them raised and defined, a full fuse melts them flush and softens the edges.
Reactions
This is a copper-bearing color, rated medium on the System 96 reactive scale. Fused against a sulfur-bearing glass it can develop a reaction line or a shift in color where the two meet, an effect fusers use on purpose for shading and depth. Using the noodles
Noodles are flat, thin ribbon strands. Place them on a base for crisp lines or bundle and fuse them for a striped field. Snap them to length by hand or score them for cleaner ends.
Fusing and compatibility
Fuses cleanly with any 96 COE product in the System 96 family. With glass from other makers, matching COE alone does not guarantee compatibility, so fire a small test tile first.
