Oceanside Forest Green Opalescent (style OGTS6227F) is System 96 tested-compatible 96 COE fusible stringers, a fresh green supplied as thin glass threads.
Appearance
Thin green threads crossing over one another, a fresh medium green with a slight translucence where light passes through the fine strands. Each thread is smooth and glossy.
Working notes
This green draws crisp botanical lines, stems, and grasses over a base. Laid down it fuses flush at a full fuse or stays slightly raised at a tack fuse.
Reactions
This is a copper-bearing color, rated medium on the System 96 reactive scale. Fused against a sulfur-bearing glass it can develop a reaction line or a shift in color where the two meet, an effect fusers use on purpose for shading and depth. Using the stringers
Stringers are thin glass threads for drawing fine lines and linework. Snip them to length and lay them for outlines, borders, or linear patterns, or bend them under a flame into curves.
Fusing and compatibility
Tested compatible with other System 96 glass, so it fuses cleanly with any 96 COE product in the System 96 family. When you combine it with glass from other makers, matching COE alone does not guarantee compatibility, so fire a small test tile first.
