Oceanside Marigold (style OGTN355F) is System 96 tested-compatible 96 COE fusible noodles, a bright marigold yellow opalescent in flat ribbon strands.
Appearance
A strong, sunny yellow with a warm marigold cast, dense and opaque rather than see-through. Bundled together the ribbons read as a saturated even yellow with soft edge highlights.
Working notes
The solid marigold holds strong over a base for clean warm linework, sharp as detail or smooth as a stripe depending on the firing.
Reactions
This is a sulfur-bearing color, rated medium on the System 96 reactive scale. Fused against a copper-bearing glass it can develop a reaction line or a shift in color where the two meet, an effect fusers use on purpose for shading and depth. Next to non-reactive colors it stays true. See the System 96 Reactive Color Chart for the colors it reacts with.
Using the noodles
Noodles are flat ribbon strands for stripes, borders, and linear detail. Lay them across a base and fire: a full fuse melts them flat while a tack fuse leaves them raised.
Fusing and compatibility
Fuses cleanly with the rest of the System 96 line. With glass from other makers, matching COE alone does not guarantee a fit, so fire a test tile first.
