Oceanside Lilac (style OGTS2404F) is System 96 tested-compatible 96 COE fusible stringers, thin lilac opalescent glass threads.
Appearance
The stringers are a soft, dusty lilac with a grayed mauve tone, gentle and muted rather than bright purple. Bundled in the tube they read as a warm heathered lilac, an understated opalescent color.
Working notes
As thin glass, stringers fuse quickly, so watch them at the top of your schedule. As an opalescent the lilac line stays solid and soft against darker glass. Tack fusing keeps the raised thread on the surface, while a full fuse sinks it flush with the base.
Reactions
This color is not on the System 96 reactive list, so it sits next to other colors without forming a reaction line. See the System 96 Reactive Color Chart for the colors that do react.
Using the stringers
Stringers are thin glass threads for fine lines and linework. Lay them across a base for outlines, script, borders and grid patterns, snap them to length by hand, then tack fuse to keep the raised line or full fuse to sink it flush. They are System 96 96 COE, so they fuse in with the rest of the System 96 family.
Fusing and compatibility
Tested compatible with other System 96 glass, so it fuses cleanly with any 96 COE product in the System 96 family. When you combine it with glass from other makers, matching COE alone does not guarantee compatibility, so fire a small test tile first.
