Oceanside Pastel Green Opalescent (style OGTS2222F) is System 96 tested-compatible 96 COE fusible stringers, thin pale green glass threads for fine lines.
Appearance
Soft pastel mint green, a pale opalescent that reads gentle and milky. Each stringer is a thin, round thread; bundled it looks light and cool, laid singly it draws a fine, quiet green line.
Working notes
As a pale opalescent the green holds as a solid line color over light and dark bases. A tack fuse keeps the stringers raised and crisp; a full fuse melts them flush and softens the edges.
Reactions
This is a copper-bearing color, rated low on the System 96 reactive scale. Fused against a sulfur-bearing glass it can develop a reaction line or a shift in color where the two meet, an effect fusers use on purpose for shading and depth. Next to non-reactive colors it stays true. See the System 96 Reactive Color Chart for the colors it reacts with.
Using the stringers
Stringers are thin glass threads for drawing lines. Lay them on a base for outlines, lettering, or delicate patterns, snapping them to length by hand. Keep them flat so they fuse evenly.
Fusing and compatibility
It fuses cleanly with any other 96 COE product in the System 96 family. With glass from other makers, matching COE alone does not guarantee compatibility, so test-fire a small tile first.
