Oceanside White Iridescent Opalescent (style OGT200SFIR) is System 96 tested-compatible 96 COE fusible sheet glass, an opaque white carrying an iridescent surface sheen.
Appearance
A solid opal white base overlaid with a soft iridescent coating that shifts through pale pink, blue, and gold as the light moves, giving a pearly, rainbow shimmer across the surface.
Working notes
The coating sits on one face; the reverse is plain opal white. As an opal it blocks light, so the shimmer is a reflected surface effect rather than transmitted color. Fire iridescent-side up to keep the sheen on the finished top face.
Reactions
This color is not on the System 96 reactive list, so it sits next to other colors without forming a reaction line. See the System 96 Reactive Color Chart for the colors that do react.
Format and sizes
Sold as 3mm sheet glass. Choose your size from the options on this page.
Fusing and compatibility
Fires on the System 96 schedule with any 96 COE glass in the family. With glass from other makers, matching COE alone does not guarantee compatibility, so fire a small test tile first.
