Oceanside Dark Green Transparent (style OGT125SFIR) is System 96 tested-compatible 96 COE fusible sheet glass, a deep green in a 3mm sheet with an iridescent coating.
Appearance
A deep transparent green carrying an iridescent coating that flashes gold and green where light catches it, seen along the lower part of the sheet. The sheen shifts as the piece turns.
Working notes
The iridescent coating sits on one face, so the other side stays plain transparent green, giving two looks from one sheet. Fired coating-up the shimmer stays on the surface; capped under clear it softens. Being transparent it deepens where layers overlap; a full fuse melts it smooth, a tack fuse keeps stacked edges.
Reactions
This is a copper-bearing color, rated high on the System 96 reactive scale. Fused against a sulfur-bearing glass it can develop a reaction line or a shift in color where the two meet, an effect fusers use on purpose for shading and depth. Fusing and compatibility
It fuses cleanly with any other 96 COE product in the System 96 family. With glass from other makers, matching COE alone does not guarantee compatibility, so test-fire a small tile first.
