Oceanside Light Olive (style OGT5282SF) is System 96 tested-compatible 96 COE fusible sheet glass, a soft transparent olive green with a smooth surface.
Appearance
The color is a gentle olive green, light and muted rather than bright, with a soft yellow-green warmth. As a transparent it lets light through cleanly, and the smooth sheet shows faint tonal movement where the color shifts a shade lighter or deeper across the surface. Over a light background the olive glows, and over dark it deepens.
Working notes
Smooth transparent glass fires evenly and keeps its clean color through a full fuse. Placed over white or clear it reads as a bright olive, while over a dark base it turns deeper and moodier. The smooth face has no texture to preserve, so both a tack and a full fuse leave a clean glossy surface.
Reactions
This is a copper-bearing color, rated low on the System 96 reactive scale. Fused against a sulfur-bearing glass it can develop a reaction line or a shift in color where the two meet, an effect fusers use on purpose for shading and depth. Fusing and compatibility
Tested compatible with other System 96 glass, so it fuses cleanly with any 96 COE product in the System 96 family. When you combine it with glass from other makers, matching COE alone does not guarantee compatibility, so fire a small test tile first.
