Oceanside Deep Aqua Noodles (style OGTN5333F) is System 96 tested-compatible 96 COE fusible noodles, flat ribbon strands of transparent deep aqua glass.
Appearance
A deep aqua, a rich teal blue toward the darker end of the blue-green range. Transparent and glassy, the noodles glow a jewel-like teal where light passes through.
Working notes
They add saturated color over a light base. A full fuse melts them into the surface and rounds them slightly; a tack fuse keeps them raised.
Reactions
This is a copper-bearing color, rated high on the System 96 reactive scale. Fused against a sulfur-bearing glass it can develop a reaction line or a shift in color where the two meet, an effect fusers use on purpose for shading and depth. Using the noodles
Noodles are flat glass ribbons for stripes, borders, and bolder linework than stringers. Lay them across a base for banded or woven designs and snap them to length as needed.
Fusing and compatibility
Fuses cleanly with any other 96 COE glass in the System 96 family. With glass from other makers, matching COE alone does not guarantee compatibility, so fire a small test tile first.
