Oceanside Deep Aqua Transparent Stringers (style OGTS5333F) is System 96 tested-compatible 96 COE fusible stringers, thin threads of bright aqua-blue transparent glass.
Appearance
A deep, saturated aqua blue, fully transparent so light passes through. The threads are thin and rounded, catching bright highlights, with color consistent thread to thread.
Working notes
They brighten over a light base and deepen over a dark one. On a full fuse they melt flush for crisp linework; on a tack fuse they keep a raised, dimensional line.
Reactions
This is a copper-bearing color, rated high on the System 96 reactive scale. Fused against a sulfur-bearing glass it can develop a reaction line or a shift in color where the two meet, an effect fusers use on purpose for shading and depth. Using the stringers
Stringers are thin glass threads for outlines and fine linework on fused and coldworked pieces. Snap them to length and place them straight, curved, or broken short for detail.
Fusing and compatibility
Fuses cleanly with any 96 COE glass in the System 96 family. With other makers, matching COE alone does not guarantee a fit, so fire a test tile first.
