Oceanside Peacock Green Opalescent Noodles (style OGTN2234F) is System 96 tested-compatible 96 COE fusible noodles, thin flat ribbons of blue-green peacock glass.
Appearance
The photo shows a bundle of peacock green noodles in a deep teal blue-green. The flat strands read semi-opaque with a rich, jewel-like tone and a glossy surface, the color leaning between blue and green.
Working notes
Peacock green noodles give strong blue-green lines that hold their color well. They stand up as raised lines through a tack fuse and melt flush on a full fuse.
Reactions
This is a copper-bearing color, rated high on the System 96 reactive scale. Fused against a sulfur-bearing glass it can develop a reaction line or a shift in color where the two meet, an effect fusers use on purpose for shading and depth. Using the noodles
Noodles are flat ribbon strands of glass for adding stripes, borders, and linear detail to a fused piece. Lay them on the surface for crisp lines, or let a full fuse melt them flush into the design.
Fusing and compatibility
Tested compatible with other System 96 glass, so it fuses cleanly with any 96 COE product in the System 96 family. When you combine it with glass from other makers, matching COE alone does not guarantee compatibility, so fire a small test tile first.
