Oceanside Red Opalescent (style OGTN2502F) is System 96 tested-compatible 96 COE fusible noodles, a solid red supplied as flat ribbon strands.
Appearance
Flat ribbon strands of opalescent red, a clean opaque red with a glossy surface and a slightly ridged profile.
Working notes
This solid red reads strong over any base. Laid flat the noodles fuse in at a full fuse or stay slightly raised at a tack fuse.
Reactions
This is a sulfur-bearing color, rated medium on the System 96 reactive scale. Fused against a copper-bearing glass it can develop a reaction line or a shift in color where the two meet, an effect fusers use on purpose for shading and depth. Using the noodles
Noodles are thin flat strands for stripes, borders, and fine detail. Lay them flush for clean lines, cut to length, or overlap for a woven look.
Fusing and compatibility
Fuses cleanly with any other System 96 glass at 96 COE. With glass from other makers, matching COE alone does not guarantee compatibility, so fire a small test tile first.
