Oceanside Vanilla Cream Opalescent (style OGTN2103F) is System 96 tested-compatible 96 COE fusible noodles, thin cream-colored glass ribbons for lines and detail.
Appearance
A soft vanilla cream, a warm off-white opalescent with the faintest hint of green where the strands stack. Each noodle is a flat, thin ribbon, the color pale and solid rather than a clear tint.
Working notes
The pale cream reads as solid, light lines over both light and dark bases. A tack fuse keeps them raised and defined; a full fuse melts them flush and softens the edges.
Reactions
This is a sulfur-bearing color, rated high on the System 96 reactive scale. Fused against a copper-bearing glass it can develop a reaction line or a shift in color where the two meet, an effect fusers use on purpose for shading and depth. Next to non-reactive colors it stays true. See the System 96 Reactive Color Chart for the colors it reacts with.
Using the noodles
Noodles are flat, thin ribbon strands for stripes, borders, and fine detail. Draw crisp lines on a base, or bundle and fuse them for a striped field. Snap them to length by hand or score for cleaner ends.
Fusing and compatibility
Fires on the System 96 schedule with any 96 COE glass in the family. With glass from other makers, matching COE alone does not guarantee compatibility, so fire a small test tile first.
