Oceanside Vanilla Cream Opalescent (style OGT21073SF) is System 96 tested-compatible 96 COE fusible sheet glass, a soft ivory cream opal in a smooth 3mm sheet.
Appearance
This sheet is a pale warm cream, close to ivory, fully opalescent with a soft even tone and no transparency. The surface is smooth, and the color makes a clean neutral background.
Working notes
The opal reads as a solid cream base color and works well as a light ground under other colors. It stays consistent between a full fuse and a tack fuse. Sulfur-bearing, so it can develop a reaction line against copper-bearing colors, an effect fusers use for shading.
Reactions
This is a sulfur-bearing color, rated high on the System 96 reactive scale. Fused against a copper-bearing glass it can develop a reaction line or a shift in color where the two meet, an effect fusers use on purpose for shading and depth. Fusing and compatibility
Tested compatible with other System 96 glass, so it fuses cleanly with any 96 COE product in the System 96 family. When you combine it with glass from other makers, matching COE alone does not guarantee compatibility, so fire a small test tile first.
