Oceanside Pale Blue (style OGT1308WF) is System 96 tested-compatible 96 COE fusible sheet glass, a pale blue transparent on the rippled Waterglass surface.
Appearance
The color is a soft, pale sky blue, light and clear enough to see through, with faint variation across the sheet. The Waterglass surface adds a gentle ripple, a soft wavy relief like moving water, that catches light in shifting highlights and pale shadows. It reads as a delicate, watery blue.
Working notes
The Waterglass ripple is on one face while the reverse is smooth, so orientation changes the look. A full fuse relaxes the ripple toward smooth and gloss, while a tack fuse holds the wavy texture for its light-catching movement. As a transparent it glows in a lit panel and deepens slightly where it overlaps a layer, a natural for water and sky.
Reactions
This is a copper-bearing color, rated low on the System 96 reactive scale. Fused against a sulfur-bearing glass it can develop a reaction line or a shift in color where the two meet, an effect fusers use on purpose for shading and depth. Next to non-reactive colors it stays true. See the System 96 Reactive Color Chart for the colors it reacts with.
Format and sizes
Sold as 3mm Waterglass sheet glass. Choose your size from the options on this page.
Fusing and compatibility
Tested compatible with other System 96 glass, so it fuses cleanly with any 96 COE product in the System 96 family. When you combine it with glass from other makers, matching COE alone does not guarantee compatibility, so fire a small test tile first.
