Oceanside Pale Gray (style 1808-96) is System 96 tested-compatible 96 COE fusible frit, a pale gray transparent in crushed glass.
Appearance
The frit is a light, cool gray that reads clear and translucent, the broken grains sparkling where light passes through them. Spread out it looks like pale smoke or clear glass with a soft gray cast, subtle rather than dark. It is a transparent, so it lets light through rather than sitting solid.
Working notes
Pale gray frit adds a soft, neutral shadow tone that shades and mutes without going heavy. Finer grades give smooth, even gradients while coarser grades add clear sparkle and texture. As a transparent it deepens where it layers over itself or a colored base.

Using the frit
Frit is crushed glass sorted into grades from fine powder to coarse grains. Use finer grades for shading, blending, and smooth gradients, and coarser grades for texture, speckling, or packing into open casting molds. It is System 96 glass, tested compatible at 96 COE with the rest of the System 96 family.
Fusing and compatibility
Tested compatible with other System 96 glass, so it fuses cleanly with any 96 COE product in the System 96 family. When you combine it with glass from other makers, matching COE alone does not guarantee compatibility, so fire a small test tile first.
