Oceanside Black Smooth Opalescent (style OGT1009SF) is System 96 tested-compatible 96 COE fusible sheet glass, a solid opaque black with a smooth face.
Appearance
A deep opaque black that reads as a true solid with no light passing through. The smooth surface is glossy and even, and the black holds its density edge to edge for strong contrast against brighter colors.
Working notes
Black opal is a workhorse base and outline color that stays consistent under any backing. A full fuse brings the smooth face to a high gloss, while a tack fuse keeps piece edges crisp for graphic layouts. It makes an even ground for frit, stringers, and detail work.
