Oceanside Light Blue Smooth Transparent (style OGT132SF) is System 96 tested-compatible 96 COE fusible sheet glass, a clear medium blue in a smooth surface.
Appearance
This is a clear transparent blue in a soft medium tone, with a faint violet shift that comes and goes across the sheet. Light passes straight through it, so the color deepens where the glass overlaps and lightens where it thins. The smooth face is glossy and even.
Working notes
As a transparent, this glass shows its true color over a light box and darkens over a dark surface, so plan your backing to suit the look you want. Stacked layers read deeper and richer, while a single layer stays light and airy. The smooth face fuses to a clean gloss on a full fuse and keeps more relief on a tack fuse.
Reactions
This is a copper-bearing color, rated medium on the System 96 reactive scale. Fused against a sulfur-bearing glass it can develop a reaction line or a shift in color where the two meet, an effect fusers use on purpose for shading and depth. Fusing and compatibility
Tested compatible with other System 96 glass, so it fuses cleanly with any 96 COE product in the System 96 family. When you combine it with glass from other makers, matching COE alone does not guarantee compatibility, so fire a small test tile first.
