Oceanside Dark Green Opalescent (style OGTS2206F) is System 96 tested-compatible 96 COE fusible stringers, a deep forest green supplied as thin glass threads.
Appearance
A bundle of thin, even dark green threads. The color is a deep forest green, opalescent and solid, with a glossy surface.
Working notes
This deep green holds a strong line over lighter grounds. The threads fuse flush at a full fuse or stay slightly raised at a tack fuse.
Reactions
This is a copper-bearing color, rated high on the System 96 reactive scale. Fused against a sulfur-bearing glass it can develop a reaction line or a shift in color where the two meet, an effect fusers use on purpose for shading and depth. Using the stringers
Stringers are thin glass threads used to draw fine lines and linework across a fused piece. Lay them straight for borders and grids, snap them to length, or bend them under a flame into curves.
Fusing and compatibility
It fuses with any 96 COE glass in the System 96 family. With glass from other makers, matching COE alone does not guarantee compatibility, so fire a test tile first.
