Oceanside Teal Green Transparent stringers (style OGTS5232F) are System 96 tested-compatible 96 COE fusible glass threads, a clear blue-green for linework.
Appearance
The stringers are a bright teal, a clear blue-green that glows when light passes through each transparent thread. Bundled together they read as a saturated sea-teal, and laid singly they become fine transparent lines of green-blue.
Working notes
Teal stringers draw crisp transparent blue-green lines that brighten over a light base and deepen over dark backing. Lay them straight for borders or bend them under heat for waves and curves. A tack fuse keeps them raised for texture, while a full fuse melts them flush. As a high copper-bearing color they can react strongly where they cross sulfur-bearing glass.
Reactions
This is a copper-bearing color, rated high on the System 96 reactive scale. Fused against a sulfur-bearing glass it can develop a reaction line or a shift in color where the two meet, an effect fusers use on purpose for shading and depth. Using the stringers
Stringers are thin glass threads used to draw fine lines and linework across a fused piece. Lay them straight for borders and grids or bend them under heat for curves. Snip them to length and tack or full fuse them in place. This is System 96 96 COE glass.
Fusing and compatibility
Tested compatible with other System 96 glass, so it fuses cleanly with any 96 COE product in the System 96 family. When you combine it with glass from other makers, matching COE alone does not guarantee compatibility, so fire a small test tile first.
