Oceanside Yellow Opalescent Stringers (style OGTS2602F) is System 96 tested-compatible 96 COE fusible stringers, fine round threads of bright opaque yellow.
Appearance
Slim, round threads in a bright, sunny yellow. Opalescent and dense, so each thread reads as a solid, opaque line, thin and even with a glossy finish.
Working notes
This opaque yellow holds a crisp, bright line over both light and dark bases, locking outlines and detail in place when fused.
Reactions
This is a sulfur-bearing color, rated high on the System 96 reactive scale. Fused against a copper-bearing glass it can develop a reaction line or a shift in color where the two meet, an effect fusers use on purpose for shading and depth. Using the stringers
Stringers are thin threads of glass used to draw lines, outlines, and fine detail on a base sheet before firing. Snap them to length, lay them in place, and fuse so the lines settle into the surface.
Fusing and compatibility
It fuses with any 96 COE glass in the System 96 family. With glass from other makers, matching COE alone does not guarantee compatibility, so fire a test tile first.
