Oceanside Yellow Artique Transparent (style OGT161AF) is System 96 tested-compatible 96 COE fusible sheet glass, a golden yellow transparent in the crinkled Artique texture.
Appearance
The sheet is a bright golden yellow, fully transparent so light passes straight through and lights up the color. The Artique surface is a crushed, crinkled antique texture, a web of creased facets that scatter and catch light across the sheet. Tone runs from clear golden yellow in the thin areas to deeper amber-gold where the texture folds.
Working notes
Transparent yellow glows over a light or white base and deepens over darker backing, so the layer underneath changes how bright it reads. The Artique texture stays sharp under a tack fuse for a faceted, glittering surface, while a full fuse relaxes the creases toward a smoother, glossier face. As a high sulfur-bearing color it can react where it meets copper-bearing glass.
Reactions
This is a sulfur-bearing color, rated high on the System 96 reactive scale. Fused against a copper-bearing glass it can develop a reaction line or a shift in color where the two meet, an effect fusers use on purpose for shading and depth. Fusing and compatibility
Tested compatible with other System 96 glass, so it fuses cleanly with any 96 COE product in the System 96 family. When you combine it with glass from other makers, matching COE alone does not guarantee compatibility, so fire a small test tile first.
