Oceanside Yellow Opalescent (style OGT26072SF) is System 96 tested-compatible 96 COE fusible sheet glass, a solid opaque yellow in a smooth finish.
Appearance
A bright warm yellow, opalescent and opaque, even and smooth with no streaking: a solid field of clean yellow across the sheet.
Working notes
Smooth on both faces. As an opal it blocks light, so it holds its yellow over clear or over a darker sheet. A full fuse keeps the flat surface; a tack fuse keeps dimension between layers.
Reactions
This is a sulfur-bearing color, rated high on the System 96 reactive scale. Fused against a copper-bearing glass it can develop a reaction line or a shift in color where the two meet, an effect fusers use on purpose for shading and depth. Fusing and compatibility
Fires on the System 96 schedule with any 96 COE glass in the family. With glass from other makers, matching COE alone does not guarantee compatibility, so fire a small test tile first.
