The Bullseye Glass Mold #8749 is a Classic Slumping Mold with outer dimensions of 6.1 by 0.6 inches (16 by 2 cm). A pre-made glass sheet or fused blank is placed on the form and heated so the glass softens and settles into the mold shape by gravity. It is slipcast from a specially formulated clay body by Creative Ceramics in Europe, and imported and sold by Bullseye Glass.
The surface is exceptionally smooth and accepts kiln wash uniformly. Because it is a ceramic slumping form, it is COE agnostic and reusable across many firings when prepped and cared for properly. The outer dimensions listed are for kiln fit planning; these molds are handmade and may vary slightly in size, so measure your mold before cutting glass.
What does the Bullseye #8749 Classic Slumping Mold make? It shapes a glass sheet or fused blank by gravity slumping, producing a curved or formed piece sized to the 6.1 inch mold. The glass softens under heat and conforms to the form's contours without pressure.
What COE glass can I use with this mold? Any COE. Ceramic slumping forms are COE agnostic, so the same mold works with COE90, COE96, or other fusible glass. Match your firing schedule to the specific glass you are using.
How do I prepare the mold before slumping? Coat the forming surface with a kiln wash or shelf primer and let it dry completely before placing glass on the mold. This prevents the glass from sticking to the form during firing.
What size glass blank do I need? Cut your glass blank to match the forming surface of your mold. These molds are handmade and individual pieces vary slightly, so measure your specific mold before cutting glass rather than relying solely on the listed dimensions.

Working Notes
These are guidelines, not guarantees. Every kiln fires a little differently, so test a piece first when the result matters and follow a slumping schedule suited to your glass and kiln.
Coat the forming surface with a kiln wash or shelf primer such as ZYP Boron Nitride Mold Primer and let it dry completely before placing glass on the mold.
Measure your mold before cutting glass. These molds are handmade and individual pieces vary slightly in size.
Place your pre-cut glass sheet or fused blank flat on the mold and load it into the kiln. The glass will soften and slump into the form's shape during firing.
The mold is COE agnostic. Use a slumping schedule matched to your glass, and adjust the anneal soak temperature for your COE (about 900 F for COE90 or 950 F for COE96).
Visually confirm the slump during firing when possible, and adjust temperature or hold time as needed for your kiln and glass thickness.
Let the kiln cool fully with the door closed before removing the slumped piece. Re coat the mold with kiln wash as needed between firings.
Bullseye Suggested Slumping Schedule
This is a suggested starting schedule based on slumping 6mm pieces in a Paragon GL24. It is not a guarantee. Every kiln fires differently; visually confirm the slump and adjust the schedule for your glass, mold depth, and kiln.
Segment Description Rate (F/hr) Temp (F) Hold 1 Slump 300 1225 1:30 2 Anneal soak AFAP 900 1:00 3 Anneal cool 100 700 none 4 Natural cool AFAP 70 none
Segment 4 is a natural cool: let the kiln drop to room temperature at its own rate with the door closed.
