COE96 Glass Ovals and Teardrops

Precut glass ovals take the cutting and grinding out of small fused work. Each oval in this category is machine precut from Oceanside COE96 sheet glass in standard 3mm thickness, ready to clean and fire.

Ovals are available in three essential colors: Black Opalescent, White, and Clear. Each color comes in small (1 x 3/4 inch) and medium (2 x 1 1/2 inch) sizes, with white and clear also offered in a large 3 x 2 1/4 inch oval, sold in multi packs so you have matching pieces for repeat designs.

Using precut ovals

Ovals are one of the most versatile precut shapes. Fuse them into pendant and cabochon blanks, use them as petals, leaves, eyes, or wings in pictorial pieces, stack clear ovals over decorated bases to magnify detail, or line them up as borders on plates and platters. Black and white make strong silhouettes; clear works as a capping layer.

Firing notes

All ovals are COE96 and fire with other System 96 compatible glass. Keep COE96 and COE90 in separate projects. Tack fuse to hold the precut outline or full fuse to round the edges into smooth domed shapes.
