The Bullseye Glass Mold #8945 is a small rectangle slumping form with outer dimensions of 9.5 inches by 5.4 inches by 1.5 inches deep. It is slipcast from a specially formulated clay body by Creative Ceramics in Europe and imported and sold by Bullseye Glass. The surface is exceptionally smooth, accepts kiln wash uniformly, and the mold holds up to repeated firings without cracking under proper use.
To slump or drape with this form, cut a sheet of glass or place a pre-fused blank over or into the mold, then fire slowly so the glass softens and conforms to the rectangle shape by gravity. The listed outer dimensions are for checking kiln fit. Because these molds are handmade and vary slightly in size, measure your specific mold before cutting glass.
What does the Bullseye Mold #8945 make? It produces a slumped small rectangle, roughly 9.5 by 5.4 inches in finished size. Use it to slump a flat glass sheet into a shallow rectangular dish or tray form.
What size glass should I cut? The outer mold dimensions are 9.5 x 5.4 x 1.5 inches, but these molds are handmade and vary slightly. Measure your specific mold before cutting. Allow for drape or overlap depending on whether you are slumping into or over the form.
What COE glass can I use? Any COE. Ceramic slumping molds are COE agnostic, so the same mold works with COE96, COE90, or other fusible glass. Match your firing schedule to the glass you are using.
How do I prep the mold before firing? Coat the forming surface with a kiln wash such as Hotline Primo Primer and let it dry completely before placing your glass. This mold accepts kiln wash uniformly. You may also use a boron nitride primer. Recoat as needed between firings.

Working Notes
These are guidelines, not guarantees. Every kiln fires a little differently, so test a small piece first and follow Bullseye's published slumping guidance for your glass and mold depth.
Coat the forming surface with kiln wash and let it dry completely before placing your glass. You may also prime with a boron nitride mold primer such as ZYP Boron Nitride Mold Primer . Recoat as needed between firings.
The outer dimensions are for kiln fit only. Because these molds are handmade and vary slightly in size, measure your specific mold before cutting glass.
Place a cut glass sheet or pre-fused blank over or into the form. Fire slowly so the glass softens and conforms to the rectangle shape by gravity, then cool in a controlled way to anneal properly.
The mold is COE agnostic. Use a slumping schedule matched to your glass. Adjust the anneal soak temperature for your COE: about 900 F for COE90, or 950 F for COE96.
Visually confirm the slump during firing if possible. Let the kiln cool fully before removing the slumped piece.
Bullseye Suggested Slumping Schedule
This is a suggested starting schedule based on slumping 6 mm pieces in a Paragon GL24 kiln, not a guarantee. Every kiln fires differently. Visually confirm the slump during firing and adjust the schedule for your glass, kiln, and mold depth.
Segment Rate Temp (F) Hold 1 (slump) 300 F/hr 1250 1:15 2 (anneal soak) AFAP* 900 1:00 3 (anneal cool) 100 F/hr 700 none 4 (cool to room) AFAP* 70 none
*AFAP means as fast as possible. The segment 2 anneal soak at 900 F suits COE90; raise to 950 F for COE96. Segment 4 is a natural cool: let the kiln cool with the door closed at its own rate to room temperature.
